BREAKING NEWS D Day In Bangkok Street Violence Surge

Today is D Day in Bangkok as the Thai Government has set forward movements to reclaim the commercial district of the city. A televised announcement has been made by the CRES (Centre for the Resolution of Emergency Situation) that the operation will continue throughout the day.
Fresh reports are coming in by the moment of clashes between red shirt demonstrators and Government forces. Armoured troop carriers are being used to dismantle the UDD's barriers, while flash points have literally spread to the streets.
The death toll today looks inevitable in what is looking to be a new series of urban street encounters. Hotels have been targeted as potential hot spots and both tourists and residents are advised to stay indoors.
