15,000 Chinese Head To Phuket En Masse

More than 15,000 delegates from Amway China will come to Phuket in April and May for a conference at the destination resort Laguna Phuket.
A series of coordinated arrivals and departures over a four week period is being scheduled to handle the large volume of business.
By the numbers the logistics of having 600 new arrivals daily come between April 15th to May 15th is a large-scale undertaking.
Accommodation is being arranged at the integrated resort's Banyan Tree, Laguna Beach Resort, Angsana and Dusit Thani Resort.
The local economy is expected to see a spillover of economic benefits from the event which includes 21 Grand Buffet Dinners.
For anyone who is wondering is Phuket in the mass tourism business, just look at the numbers.
