Airport To Fast Track Thai Travelers From April 11

Category: Tourism, Posted:09 Apr 2012 | 06:00 am

Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport will open an automated facility for Thai passport holders from April 11th.
A new mechanized Auto Channel with 16 machines will be put into service and remove the necessity of immigration forms.
Media reports which include comments from Government officials say the machines include a finger print biometric reader and scanner for passport details.
Officials have commented that future plans call for fast track services for APEC Travel Card and Frequent Travelers, though no details are yet available.
No firm initiative is yet in place for installation of the machines at Phuket International Airport.
Good news for Thais but for tourists, business people and expatriate residents, expect to take your place in line for the moment.
