All-Inclusive Resort Model Grabbing Headlines

Author: Bill Barnett. Category: Hotels. Posted: 24th Nov 2017

The new launch of the all-inclusive Robinson Club resort in Khao Lak is creating a wave of renewed interest in the ‘all in' accommodation model.

Under the TUI Group which is a leading global tourism conglomerate, Robinson Club is positioned as a premium product.

In Khao Lak, Tui entered into a joint venture with a Thai hotel owner at a property that over the years was operated under the Le Meridien and Pullman flags.

With a major upgrade the partnership is looking to cash into the current tourism boom in Greater Phuket.

TUI is currently on an expansion drive with hotel concepts including Robinson Club, Sensimar and Riu brands.

While all-inclusive in Asia has traditionally been the domain on Club Med, major groups like Melia and Hyatt International are testing the water to bring their own models to the region, as they already operate similar properties in Europe and North America.
