BALI TOURISM Indonesia Visa On Arrival Extended To 30 Days

Category: Tourism, Posted:16 Mar 2010 | 06:00 am

In a move meant to aid hotels and the tourism industry keen to promote hassle free longer stays in Bail and throughout Indonesia the US$10 7 day visa on arrival has been extended to 30 days and now costs US$25. While more expensive the move makes it simpler for travelers to stay longer in the country.
The move has created many critics along with supporters on the age old debate of quantity versus quality, and some tourism proponents worry the higher cost may discourage shorter stays.
One of the flash points is Batam and Bintan where Singapore residents visit on weekend for golf or hotel stays and the added cost may now push business back into the developing domestic market of Sentosa and the newly opened Resorts World.
