Bali Traffic Gets A Break

Category: Tourism, Posted:07 Jul 2013 | 11:36 am

Arriving a few days ago in Bali it's clear the massive infrastructure investment leading up to the APEC event in October is staring to make an impact.
The underpass at the critical Galleria junction, which is one of the islands main traffic areas, is already open and has cut travel time between Seminyak and the airport considerably.
Yesterday the government opened the much touted mangrove toll road to the public for just a day to walk and explore on. Vehicular traffic will open in August.
Meanwhile the work at the new international terminal is showing signs of moving towards completion.
All is all the initiatives are an improvement and clearly indicates that Phuket needs to keep investing to keep pace with Asia's other leading resort island.
