Category: Tourism, Posted:15 Nov 2009 | 14:53 pm

The toughest show on earth has been confirmed for Phuket with the inaugural Ironman 70.3 at Laguna on December 5, 2010. While the current Laguna Phuket Triathlon has continued to be one of the islands signature events, the leading global Ironman brand and longer event will draw a substantial number of media and visitors from across the globe. Plans are being made that the two events will be held during the same weekend and create an event larger presence and atmosphere for participants and attendees. Certainly marquee projects bode well for tourism growth and bringing more worldwide attention to the resort island.
There will be added prestige for the event as the year ending timing will be the Asia Pacific Championship which ensures an even higher level of professional attendance.
