Budget Airline Lion Chasing AirAsia

Indonesia's low-cost airline Lion which made global news on it's record setting Boeing aircraft order is now setting it's sights on regional expansion.
The group is setting up a Malaysian based operation called Malindo Airways to service mainly short and medium haul flights.
News reports say that the airline will focus on cost parity similar to those of AirAsia.
Phuket is likely in the start up's plans as a key sector and the island will likely be a beneficiary of expanding airlift.
