C9 Hotelworks Releases Krabi Hotel Market Update

The newly released Krabi Hotel Market Update May 2017 report by C9 Hotelworks highlights one of Southeast Asia’s prime movers in terms of destination tourism growth.

Airport passenger arrivals over the past ten years have risen from a mere 376,000 a decade ago to 2016’s record high that eclipsed 2 million. This equates to a remarkable 5.4 times multiple in growth.

This trend rapidly accelerated over the more recent five-year period with a compound annual growth rate of 33% in airport arrivals.

Tourism revenue to Krabi last year is estimated at THB84 billion.

According to C9’s research the opening of scheduled and non-scheduled routes to China, the present numbers of Chinese cities connected to Krabi is a staggering 26.
