Changi Airport Makeover Decade

Never on to rest on reputation, Singapore's Changi Airport has some bold new moves for the next ten years.
Plans call for doubling the capacity over the term which includes the development of a third runaway.
Another new innovation will be a massive retail and lifestyle complex that is not only aimed at travelers but locals as well.
I've heard comments from some Singaporeans who question the move about bringing outside traffic into an airport area which is meant to be a smooth and efficient gateway transitional portal.
Yet historically the airport's long term gambles have paid off huge dividends in the past.
