Category: Hotels, Posted:22 Jul 2016 | 11:27 am

One of the most exciting accommodation spaces these days is the emerging poshtel products that are cutting into the cookie cutter hotel mold and gathering followers.

Today the traditional hostel model is out the window and  in comes poshtels which offer not only the traditional shared rooms but a hybrid that also has private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, co-working and social spaces,  and a mix of interesting travelers who want to get out of the box.

Thailand’s Narai Group is quicly expanding their Lub d brand now to Phuket and onward outside the country in the Philippines and Cambodia.

They have broken the hostel mold by using international designers and brought in key features in the Patong property which include an indoor Muay Thai facility, see-though pool and a number of other features.

With 286 rooms the hybrid offering will appeal to a broad platform from the hostel sector, through the economy segment and also the emerging friends and family segment.

Poshtels are a fast emerging trend globally and C9 Hotelworks has published a market overview on Southeast Asia CLICK.
