Court Orders Zecha Reinstated To Aman

Category: Hotels, Posted:15 Jul 2014 | 14:34 pm

Hoteliers are buzzing over news in the Wall Street Journal that a London court has ordered former Aman Chief Executive to be reinstated.
An ownership dispute between the legacy Zecha team and Russian investor Vladislav Doronin is now being waged in the courts after the latter ousted Zecha earlier this year and moved the company operations from Singapore to London.
There is a third player in this drama which is US based Omar Amanat who partnered with Doronin in the acquisition of Aman from Indian firm DLF.
Amanat is aligned with Zecha and is disputing Doronin's appointment.
In the interim period the new management of Aman has been aggressively looking at updating the operating model of the group with a greater focus on revenue management. Will that all be out the window now?
Stay tuned as this ongoing story surely continue to make news.
