Category: Tourism, Posted:09 Aug 2009 | 09:31 am

Speaking to Pat James Co-CEO of Destination Air, he has told thephuketinsider.com that flights are going to resume at the end of this week on August 15th. The company is now taking reservations for tours, excursions and charter flights. The key markets for the services includes tourism, yachts and diving, arial photography and the property sector. For upscale visitors half and full day tours are being targeted.
As more luxury resorts open in Greater Phuket such as the upcoming Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in nearby Krabi and others in planning stages charter services are perks that upgrade the entire offering of the destination. Seeing the group re-start operations is a positive to the market as more demand generators here will help recovery. If Phuket wants to grow its luxury market then it needs to provide these types of perks.
