Destination Properties and Ramada Part Ways In Karon

The former Ramada Resort Karon Beach has been rebranded as Talay Karon Beach Resort. Previously the 121 room property had operated under a franchise agreement with Ramada which expired at the beginning of September.
Destination Properties back of entrepreneur Gary Murray currently own or have a controlling interest in eight hotels in Thailand including three Courtyard by Marriott's in Phuket and another in Cha Am, Hilton in Hua Hin and a Doubletree by Hilton in Sri Racha. It also has the Hard Rock Café in Patong and a suspended property in Kamala under the Marriott Flag.
The parent company of Ramada – Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has been aggressively expanding their pipeline in Thailand with a number of management and franchise agreements signed over the past year.
