ENTOURAGE Thailand's Resorts Full Monty Bookings

Category: Hotels, Posted:15 Mar 2010 | 06:00 am

Bucking the aftertaste of luxury guilt and a current upswing in the financial fortunes of the elite, there is a growing demand for full monty or entourage bookings with entire resorts being taken over for parties, events and weddings. Recently in Phuket the upscale Banyan Tree Resort was taken over by a hi-so Indian family who even flew in international star Kanye West to croon for the newlyweds.
Now the newly opened Langham Place Samui on the islands Lamai Beach is offering an "Own Me!" all inclusive package for THB 2.7 million for one night which includes all 77 villas and suites at the resorts along with meals and a private party. Additional nights start at THB 1.6 million.
With Thaksin Shinawatra still having more than a few billions in the bank, perhaps a family vacation might help bring a newfound sense of inner peace (or not). As for 2010, Phuket is seeing more Indian weddings coming to town over the coming month which spells good news for the islands luxury resort market.
