Grand Centara Samui Up For Sublease

Category: Hotels, Posted:01 Mar 2017 | 06:00 am

One of Koh Samui’s most prominent hotels, the Grand Centara Beach Resort Samui is on the lease transaction market.

The 202-key property is being tendered on a 21-year sublease term for the management of the hotel operations.

With 250 meters of beach frontage and a land area of 25 rai the Chaweng resort is in a prime location.

Currently the leaseholder of the property is the Centrara Hotels and Resorts Leasehold Property Fund.

One of the shortfalls in the Property Fund regime in Thailand has been income guarantees in single asset funds, that also make financing for extensive capital upgrades difficult for existing properties, hence the shift toward more hotels going into REIT vehicles.

CBRE Thailand is engaged as a marketing consultant.  For details on the offering CLICK
