HICAP Conference Draws Big Numbers

Category: Hotels, Posted:17 Oct 2011 | 06:00 am

The recently concluded HICAP (Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific) drew over 800 key hospitality leaders and executives from across the globe.
Registrations were bolstered by tourism growth in the region with key interest in China and India captivating many in attendance.
This is one of the best HICAP's I have attended over the years as we see an increasing flow of international interest from Europe and North American back into Asia.
Many familiar faces from Thailand were seen in the many sessions. Two of the of the highlights of the conference was a strong and thought provoking review of the China online and luxury market, and also break-out session of making the Conde Nast Hot List.
Next year Singapore's HICAP Update has been moved to March, and looks to draw a crowd.
