Hotelier Rudi Koppen Passes Away

Well-known hotel executive Rudi Koppen has died at the age of 80.
According to TTG Asia, Kopppen suffered a short illness with cancer as the cause of death.
Koppen successfully-led Holiday Inn in Asia Pacific for a number of years and pioneered many new regional markets with the brand.
Later on he and two business partners established a hotel chain KYZ/Zenith which was bought over the French group ACCOR.
