Iconic Designer Bill Bensley Takes On Hotel Chains

Category: Hotels, Posted:03 Jul 2017 | 18:08 pm

Creative guru Bill Bensley is joining forces with the Shinta Mani group for a series of new hotels according to Travel Daily Asia.

Under the tagline of Shinta Mani – The Bensley Collection is a new Angkor Wat hotel and a private nature sanctuary in Cambodia.

The group has also renamed their Siem Reap property as the Shinta Mani Shack.

While design remains a key element for interesting hotels the question remains will it be a strong enough platform for a brand?

While Armani, Largerfeld, Philippe Starck and a hand full of others ply that route.

For Bensley it’s an interesting model, given hotel groups today are still trying to figure out hotel to reinvent themselves in a post OTA world.

Wherever the Bensley Collection is going to land, one thing is certain it will be out of the box and breaking all the rules.
