ITB Berlin Starting Medical Tourism Pavilion

Category: Tourism, Posted:27 Nov 2016 | 16:08 pm

A rising tide of niche tourism segments is forcing legacy events like ITB start to evolve.

One of the world’s most important travel trade shows is unveiling a Medical Tourism Pavilion in 2017.

The organizers have said “Travelling for medical care is an important and fast growing segment in the global tourism industry. People travel from less-developed countries to highly developed countries in order to obtain treatment in major medical centers, but also from developed countries to third-world countries because of cost consideration.”

Next year ITB Berlin will be held from March 8th to 12th.
