KITCHEN BUZZ Pop-Up Restaurants

Fueling the fire of our urban hospitality dictionary is the term "pop-up restaurants".
According to a quick roam around the web these have been around a while, acting as temporary eating establishments in houses, events and industrial areas.
On a recent trip to Los Angeles, I was amazed at the teaming number of themed food trucks which have become trendy offerings for office workers and after hours at nightspots.
A number of well known chefs and restaurants have entered this space, relying on food-type blogs and social networking to quickly gain clientele.
Thailand is actually a leading example of the concept with food wagons, carts, trolley's and every manner of moving or non-moving device known to mankind taking cuisine to the street.
