Koh Samet Oil Spill Area Reopens

The headline making Ao Phrao area at Koh Samet is now back in the tourism business.
After a headline grabbing oll spill in July a massive clean up ensued with both the private and public sector involved.
Environmental officials now say that water quality tests in the ocean have confirmed that no dangers are poised to tourist or local residents.
Oil giant PTT has funded a substantial part of the retroactive action and also compensation to affected businesses.
