Laguna Phuket Golf Club Delays Redevelopment

Category: Tourism, Posted:07 Mar 2009 | 14:14 pm

In a letter addressed to all members the management of the Laguna Phuket Golf Course has advised a postponement in its planned course rebuild, citing the current global economic crises. The full redesign and renovation of the current 18 hole course had been announced in December 2008 and was to have commenced in April 2009. Leading design firm Hurdzen & Fry with principal Dana Fry were slated to oversee the project.

The course update included relocation of the existing club house and driving range along with improved facilities with completion of all works slated for December 2010. Within this week the club will again play host to the 2009 Singha Thailand Open from March 5-8, after a 3 year absence.
