March Completion For Krabi Airport Expansion

The expansion of the Krabi Airport is expected to complete in March according to officials from the facility.
Parking bays are the current remaining work to be finalized on site.
A doubling of capacity to 4.38 million passengers will be the result, though in 2011 the airport only achieved about 20% traffic efficency, which points to a dramatic underutilization.
Unlike Phuket International Airport (PIA) which is run by the much larger and commercially minded Airports of Thailand (Aot), Krabi falls under the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).
