Marriott Asia Pacific Gets New Chief

Leading hospitality group Marriott International have undergone a reorganization which has seen Simon Cooper appointed to the position of President and Managing Director – Asia Pacific.
With the region there are 130 hotels and a development pipeline of 130 properties under flags including Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard and Marriott Executive Apartments,
Long time headman Ed Fuller has been shifted to the Middle East and Africa which have over 42 hotels in the works.
The move shows the growing influence of the lucrative Asian region as Cooper had previously headed up the luxury Ritz-Carlton business group.
