Minor Sets Stage For Second Phuket Anantara

Category: Hotels, Posted:14 Aug 2012 | 13:59 pm

The resort destination of Phuket will be getting a second upscale Anantara branded property in September 2013.
A recent acquisition of the oceanfront 77 key Bundarika Villas and Suites which is now closed for an upgrading by Thailand's Minor Hotel Group will see the chain expand their island offering.
According to the Minor the total spend for both the acquisition and renovation will be over THB3 billion.
In addition branded residences will be developed on an adjacent piece of land with views over Layan Beach and Bangtao Bay.
The new Anantara is expected to compete with nearby Laguna's Banyan Tree, Angsana, Dusit Laguna and the Outrigger Laguna Beach Resort which will open by the mid part of next year.
