Movenpick Sign 220 Key Mai Khao Phuket Resort

Swiss hotel chain  Movenpick has signed their third property in Phuket with Thai group Nusasiri.

The hotel is a takeover of the existing D Varee, which will be closed, upgraded and expanded by an additional 106 keys.

When re-opened in the fourth quarter of  2017, the Mövenpick Resort Mai Khao Phuket will feature 220 rooms.

Movenpick has inked two other hotel deals with Nusasiri in Bangkok’s Ekamai and Khao Yai.

For Ekamai this is the roll-out of the Residences offering by the hospitality brand.

Phuket’s Mai Khao area is expect to see a  substantial new wave of hotel development with two other significant projects coming into the hotel pipeline presently.
