NASA Deploys Lunar Moon Landing Unit for Hillary Clinton's Phuke

Category: Tourism, Posted:04 Jul 2009 | 11:50 am

Today as I was driving down Lagoon Road at the entrance of Laguna Phuket I was stunned as a black Toyota Vios disappeared into a large pothole in front of me. This is not the first time vehicles, herds of water buffalo and even a lost tribe of Rohingya have gone missing in this cavernous stretch of highway.
As Phuket sets to enter the world stage with key diplomats from around the globe and current Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva trying to eradicate the 'nightmare in Pattaya,' one of the first tastes of the island for these important visitors is going to be pothole alley on Lagoon Road. Rightfully said the highway is not part of Laguna Phuket nor is it government owned; but belongs to a large private landowner.
Unverified reports from the American Embassy in Bangkok have said that a special advance forum task force for US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have already identified the problem, and NASA has obligingly transported in a NASA moon lunar vehicle which specially handles crater like holes. We have no details on capacity, but certainly most of the other VIP visitors are not going to be able to car pool in with Hillary which that may lead to some bruised heads and egos.
First impressions remain everything, and if we lose of few foreign diplomats in the potholes at the upcoming Asean, events in North Korea and Iran will look like a children's party compared to the bad press Thailand will be hit with; though the new story could at least displace Michael Jackson's demise which could be a welcome change.
