National Census Counting Expats

According to the National Statistical Office of Thailand a country wide census was conducted from September 1-30th. The exercise is done every 10 years and this will be the 11th installment of the exercise.
All Thai citizens who reside in the country as of September 1, 2010 together with government official and family members on diplomatic missions abroad.
Non Thai's or foreigners who have been in the country for a minimum of 3 months excluding foreign missions
or those who reside in Thailand but are away as of September.
As per an article published in the Phuket Gazette, the official population of the island is roughly 330,000 but thought to be nearer to the 1 million market.
This census is a first wherein non Thai's or foreigners have been included.
