Print newspapers might be headed the way of the buffalo in many parts of the world but welcome to Asia where jetlag or cross the dateline often cause a delayed reaction to far reaching trends.
In comes The Phuket News which is now out in circulation. Former Phuket Gazette Editor Alasdair Forbes is at the helm.
While the phuketinsider.com has no plans to go into hard print, competition and commerce will no doubt spur some healthy debate and perhaps even bring a renewed interest in reading the printed page in a world gone internet mad.
