Pattaya Takes On Phuket's Volume Market

One lead indicator for any leisure destination remains airlift and Pattaya has received a substantial boost of good news on the current redevelopment and expansion of U-Tapao Airport.
AirAsia has been quick to assume a key role triggering new service between Kuala Lumpur and the Eastern Seaboard.
Thai AirAsia has unveiled plans to use U-Tapao as a secondary hub, while positioning aircraft and looking at new short haul international routes.
For China travelers the proximity is a key factor and Pattaya is expected to key into the Mainland segment after the sharp decrease in Russian arrivals over the past year.
