Phuket Fails To Make Trip Advisor Awards

Category: Hotels, Posted:21 Jan 2011 | 15:18 pm

The leading destination of Phuket is auspiciously absent from Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice Awards 2011.
Last year the island tallied in with a number of highly ranked resorts.
Thailand's resort market does weigh in with Samui's Sandalwood Luxury Villas hitting #19 in the Top 25 Hotels of the World.
Well known Banyan Tree showed well at #18, though it was for their Mayakoba Resort on Mexico's Riviera Maya.
In the Romance category Krabi's opulent Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve was #7. Koh Samui's Sandalwood made another appearance in Relaxation and Spa's with a #9 accolade.
As they say in sports and entertainment there's always next year for Phuket.
