PHUKET TOURISM Joint SKAL and PATA Event

This coming Saturday September 24th SKAL and PATA are teaming up for a joint event at Karon's Moevenpick Resort and Spa starting at 5:30 pm.
This is the first time two of Phuket's major hospitality organizations, PATA and SKAL, have combined in a joint event on the island so it is an historic and newsworthy occasion for the island's hospitality industry.
From this collaboration PATA and SKAL hope to jointly grow a positive influence on Phuket's hospitality industry. Representatives from a wide range of Phuket tourist, business, travel agent, spa, diving, airline, golf, guides, boating and commerce organizations are to attend.
Therefore we are pleased to invite you, as a representative of the media on Phuket to this joint event held on behalf of SKAL International and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
This will be an ideal opportunity for PATA to introduce itself to SKAL members in Phuket, and learn more about PATA's history and leadership role in promoting Asia Pacific's travel and tourism's industries.
It will be a meet and greet session featuring speakers from some of the Thailand's leading international travel companies. The speakers will include:

Representing PATA Bangkok headquarters driving the association's growth in the region
Ms Blandine Cressard, GM of Novotel Phuket Panwa Resort, President of SKAL Phuket
Instrumental in SKAL Phuket's growth with vast experience in travel & hospitality worldwide
The event is supported by the Royal Thai Government's Ministry of Tourism & Sports (MOTS). Hosted guests will feature key government officials, including MOTS Phuket Director, Mr Baoyun Suwanmanee, in addition to representatives from the Thai Hotel Association, Phuket Tourist Association, Honorary Counsels and Phuket-based media.
This PATA introductory session is complimentary and jointly sponsored by Movenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach and HotelTravel.com. Dinner and cocktails for both SKAL and PATA members will be 900 baht, and 1,500 baht for invited guests attending with members of either association.
