Category: Tourism, Posted:05 May 2015 | 06:00 am

At long last Phuket will be getting two new flyover projects that will benefit the island's primary north south transport link.
As reported in the Phuket Gazette, Thailand's Transport Ministry has awarded the island THB1.3 billion in funding.
The funds will be used for the underpass at Bang Khu, which is the main link between Thepkassatri Road and the Bypass Road, as well as another one at the Chalong Circle.
On the two flyovers, one will be positioned at the Thepkassatri Road junction leading to Phuket International Airport and the second in Koh Kaew.
While undoubtedly the construction is anticipated to have short term pain for long term gain ,Phuket's shifting infrastructure landscape improvements remain a positive on the horizon.
