Radisson Brand Splinters Into Blu And Green

Category: Hotels, Posted:27 Apr 2010 | 06:00 am

One of the largest global hotel operators in the world has made a strategic rebranding launch of its core Radisson brand into two entities – Radisson Blu and Radisson Green. Upscale hotels and key destinations will take on the former and tertiary locations the later.
Falling under Carlson Hotels Worldwide other brands under the umbrella include Regent, Park Plaza and Country Inns. The creation of premium vehicles under a core brand remain somewhat of a hit and miss proposition for hotel chains and often time delivery costs and consumer confusion create considerable marketing challenges.
In Phuket the Radisson Plaza Resort Panwa Beach continues to utilize the existing name, though the use of the 'Plaza' moniker as a upscale product may be grandfathered out in time with the new two color scheme.
