Rosewood In, Kempinski Out Of Yangon

In a shift of operators prior to opening later this year, Rosewood has announced their latest deal for a luxury property in Yangon Myanmar.

The 209-key Rosewood Yangon is a heritage property constructed in 1927, and is being developed by Thai group Kanook Furniture and Decoration and Myanmar’s Jewellery Luck Group who have teamed up under Prime Residence.

Previously the property had been under development with Kempinski, though Rosewood has now assumed the management roll.

For Rosewood, their critical mass of properties in the region is going, with their recent openings in Phnom Penh, Phuket and upcoming hotel in Bangkok.
