Samui’s Imperial Boat House ConvertsTo Melia

Spanish hotel group Media is returning to Thailand after a long absence with the announcement of a conversion of the Imperial Boat House Samui.

Owned by Thai conglomerate TCC, the property will undergo an extensive upgrade and be renamed the Sol Beach House.

Two other deals with TCC and Melia are part of a bigger picture with a core branded hotel in Bangkok and all-inclusive resort also coming.

At the same time the group is expanding it’s presence across the region with new developments focused in China and Indonesia as well as other key markets.
