Second Novotel Branded Hotel For Patong

A new 305 room Novotel branded hotel is underway at the site of the former Patong Bayshore Hotel. Plans call for the resort to be opened by the end of next year on the approximately 10 rai site.
The property is being developed by the same developer as the existing Novotel Patong. As a sign of the growing strength of the Patong tourism midscale market French hotel operator ACCOR have allowed a second property under the same brand to come into the catchment area.
As Phuket continues to see greater reliance on short haul regional markets, and more importance on China and India, the entertainment district looks to be one of the key beneficiaries in a readjustment of island hotel demand
