Spanish Hotel Group To Manage Royal Phuket Yacht Club

Category: Hotels, Posted:21 Aug 2012 | 06:00 am

Spanish hotel chain Iberostar has signed a management agreement for the 110 room Royal Phuket Yacht Club with the property's owner Barcelona based Corbis Group.

According to the operator management services will commence by the fourth quarter of this year and includes the stalled Hotel Summer Place which is under development in Rawai.
The move marks a decided turn of events for the well known island hotel after the high profile Purnavarna Hotels and Resorts legal case in which Steven Granville was freed from jail after spending 18 months in jail. Charges in the case were dropped against Granville.
The Royal Phuket Yacht Club has been previously managed by Le Merdien and prior to this the Mandarin Oriental chain.
