Surin Beach Clubs and Structures Demolished

Author: Bill Barnett. Category: Tourism. Posted: 20th Apr 2016

In the span of half a day the commercial structures located along Surin Beach include Catch, Bimi and many others have been completely demolished by the government.

Back of the imposed deadline both the military and local government were present as works with heavy equipment took on the demolition task.

Moving forward Surin Beach is to be dedicated as public use and at this point it seems unlikely that venues will come back at anytime in the foreseeable future.

Many local expats and tourists are wondering where will the next beach entertainment zone be built with the most logical being the destination resort MontAzure in Kamala which has development underway on private land facing the ocean.

Bangtao looks to be coming under stress next in the Layan area given a proliferation of numerous structures over the past six months and government plans to restore Sirinath National Park to a natural state.
