The Swiss-Belhotel Wedgewood Residences in Kuala Lumpur has introduced an urban green program despite the limitations of being located in a thriving metropolis.
Both waste and perishables are being shipped to composting and recycling centers.
Composting is targeted for staff vegetable and herb gardens, while proceeding from paper and plastic sales go to a staff fund.
All in all, despite being an urban property, the initiatives are all aimed and reducing the property's carbon footprint.
