Thai Airways To Russia With Love

Category: Tourism, Posted:23 Jun 2016 | 15:07 pm

Thai Airways International has made the news with the announcement of a resumption of flights between Moscow and Bangkok.

Hoteliers have been concerned over the shrinkage of TG’s international routes and the move is welcomes after the legacy service was stopped in 2105.

Another new development is that the airline will launch a Tehran flight in October, following Thai AirAsia X who will commence the route shortly.

Iran is attracting an influx of upscale affluent ‘been there, done that’ travellers who want to include the destination in their experience list and Bangkok is certainly a good base to stage these tours

Speaking to island hoteliers they believe that the Eastern European plunge from economic woes bottomed out last year and there is a muted recovery of the market or at least upward trajectory.
