Thai Government To Revise Minimum Wage System

Thailand's THB300 minimum wage will likely revert next year to the former system of provincial centric wages.

Prior to the national initiative wages were attached by province to the cost of living in the specific area.

Phuket topped the list in terms of minimum wage, followed by Bangkok.

Island hoteliers will be closely following the issue given wages at the single largest expense items for hotels.

A national across the board initiative was made in 2013.

It's unknown yet exactly when and at what level the wage grading will be calculated on.
