Thailand Tourism Forum 2017 Presentation Downloads

Category: Hotels, Posted:27 Jan 2017 | 14:38 pm

For readers who missed this week’s Thailand Tourism Forum 2017 in Bangkok we are distributing a download link to the key presentations.

Some of the highlights include STR’s Jesper Palmqvist who presented data on Thailand’s key markets of Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Hua Hin.

STR is now in the early stages of tracking Airbnb performance and from the initial reporting has concluded some of the following trends:

  • That Airbnb is now a significant player in the global accommodation sector.
  • While the digital OTA is rising fast, hotel growth is also driving new supply.
  • The average length of stay for Airbnb is longer than hotels but  average rate and occupancy are considerably higher for traditional accommodation.

Other TTF presentations include JLL’s Thailand Hotel Transaction Market Overview  and  key sessions from Horwath HTL And Hotel Intel.

Next year TTF 2018 will  once return to Bangkok.
