THAILAND UPDATE New Tourist Visa Requirements

Visitors landing at Phuket International Airport will tighten the enforcement of documentation for sixty day tourist visas as reported by the Phuket Gazette.
Applications for tourist visas of 60-days will require confirmed hotel reservations and ongoing airline tickets.
Comments to the newspaper from Immigration officials said that checks would be randomly applied.
For those applying at Thai Embassies and Consulates abroad the following documentation is required:
One completed and signed application form
One photo (color, size 4 x 6 cm)
Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)
Hotel reservation in Thailand with name and dates of checking in/out
Airline ticket or confirmation slip with flight number and date of entry/exit
Its suggest that you contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate to obtain the most up to date information in advance of your trip.
