Thailand's Centara Sign Sri Lankan Hotel

Thai-based Centara Hotels and Resorts are continuing on an overseas expansion with the inking of a new management deal in Sri Lanka.
The existing 84 room property is located in the popular resort destination of Bentota and will be renamed Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa.
A one month closure for upgrading will take place and new room expansion to 160 keys, will come on line in October 2012.
Another Thailand group Minor International's Anantara have a joint venture with Sri Lankan conglomerate Hemas Holdings on a south coast resort Kani Lanka Resort in Kalutara which will be redeveloped into a luxury resort.
