The Road From Property To Art

Category: Tourism, Posted:17 Aug 2013 | 16:08 pm

One of Thailand's familiar real estate faces in the luxury sector is Richard Skene.
Over the years he has sold upscale property at Banyan Tree and more recently at the W in Koh Samui.
These days Richard has tapped into his creative self and as assembled an impressive art exhibition titled "The Road of Excess Leads to the Palace of Wisdom."
Until the end of August Richards provocative art which encompasses graphic design, photography, video and installation is on show in Bangkok at the chic Eat Me lounge and restaurant on Soi Pipat.
I've seen his contemporary works which draw influences from names like Warhol, Hirst and Lichtenstein and must say its edgy and extremely interesting.
Certainly worth a look if you happen to be in Bangkok and yes there does appear to be life after property for budding talent Richard Skene.
