TOMORROW Angsana Laguna Phuket Opens Doors

Category: Hotels, Posted:30 Nov 2011 | 07:01 am

Laguna's upgraded and renamed 409 room upscale Angsana Resort will open its doors tomorrow under the management of the Banyan Tree Hospitality Group.
A reported THB900 million renovation has been undertaken since the mid-year closure of what was the Sheraton Grande, and had been managed by Starwood.
Special room rates are being promoted locally from THB6,100 ++ per night through February, including breakfast.
With 7 food and beverage outlets and large conference facilities the property looks to answer the question that many industry players are asking – which brand will perform better in the current market climate?
While on the brand front, expectations are for an announcement shortly of an international operator for the completed (yet unopened) 200 key oceanfront Makham Bay Resort – that was previously contacted as a Sheraton Four Points.
