Category: Tourism, Posted:14 Oct 2012 | 06:00 am

Pattaya's new Art in Paradise attraction which opened earlier in the year has seen a surge in both overseas and local Thai's visiting the venue.
Unlike art installations where you stand and admire inanimate objects , this is an interactive experience. Visitors are able to pose in front of what are essentially trick art paintings and take their own photos.
With nearly 150 3D paintings the facility encompasses a warehouse sized building. The project was set up by investors from South Korea.
According to an article in the Nation, trick art museums were first started in Seoul with the Alive Gallery. Museum of Interactive Art and Trick Eye Museum.
Given that nearly everyone these days carries a smartphone with a camera, the concept of tapping into this niche shows great promise for the mass tourism market.
