Zecha’s Azerai Rebranding To Avani

Adrian Zecha’s foray into affordable luxury has hit a roadblock with the initial offering Azerai Luang Prabang set to be converted to an Avani in March.

Avani is a lifestyle brand of the Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group which includes Anantara.

Owned by a Malaysian group the conversion will also see management by Minor for their Mekong Kingdom cruise operation.

No word on what will become of the Azerai brand.
